I actually haven't tried it out on a Linux machine, yet. I'm glad you got it to work!

Hi Paul,

i'm sorry to tell you, but it does not work as expected. :)
When i do not have contact to internet the app doesn't start.
As soon as connection is made again it starts up, even after several hours.
Where can i find information how to chnage or add columns and other organic
compounds in sample ?

cheers wally

Hi wally,

I'll try it out on a Linux machine and get back to you. I'm not sure how Java Web Start is implemented in Linux.

As for adding columns and compounds, that's not currently available in the simulator (as of 7/6/2010), but I plan to add that in some form in the future. Right now, you can only select from a list of 22 compounds for which retention data has been measured.

These 22 cpmpounds data must be in some file i presume.
Is it not possible to edit it ?
I'm very weak on java programming, so excuse this question if too stupid

wally,

Not a stupid question at all. Right now, they're hard-coded into the program.
